What a great place for the 6th annual Daddy Daughter Dance! The Lawrence Barn is a rare structure which spans almost the entire agricultural history of Hollis with its double English-style timber frame with yet a third integratged barn. The first barn was built in the 1780s during the time of the American Revolution. Its beams were hand hewn from Hollis trees.
A limited number of tickets are available prior to the event. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets will be on sale at the Harvest Market. Cash only, exact change preferred.
The Andreola family moved to Hollis in 2004. When asked what both daughters missed most from their old town, beyond friends, the answer was the annual Daddy Daughter Dance. Hence, the family set out to recreate a Morristown, NJ tradition in Hollis. Older sister Laura took over the dance a year later and put her own spin on it, adding a photographer and donating proceeds to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Laura is now away at college, and Allison has taken over this tradition with the help of Sarah Swabowicz (an attendee since year one of the event) and Mollie Gillis. Naomi Goodman, a younger neighbor, has joined the fold ensuring that this tradition can continue when Allison leaves for college in a few years.

Come join us on Friday February 10, 2012-it will be here before you know it- the 6th Annual Hollis Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance in The Lawrence Barn! This event is for Hollis girls between the ages of 6 and 12 and their fathers or special adult male in their life.
Music will be geared to both the girls and dads, and lifetime memories are sure to be created. Because of space constraints at the barn, there are a limited number of tickets that must be purchased in advance.

We donated all proceeds from the 2009, 2010 and 2011 events to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua. With the proceeds from this year's dance we will make a donation to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. This charitable organization has been in existence since 1900 and is dedicated to the creation and maintenance of a responsible and humane two- and four-footed community. It provides for and protects abandoned, abused, neglected and unwanted animals and promotes animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.
The Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance would be unable to succeed without the help and support of many individuals and businesses in the community. With the donations and discounts received by these businesses we have been able to donate between $1000 and $1500 each year to a worthy charity. Please help us support the Humane Society of Greater Nashua this year.
